How I Almost Failed My French Passport Photo

When I decided to renew my passport, I thought: "What could be simpler? I'll take a selfie on my phone, crop it, and I'm done." On top of that, my head was too small in the frame (it needs to fill 70‑80% of the photo), and glasses haven't been allowed since 2016. I had to start over. I went to a professional studio, asked for a grey background, no glasses, and the correct head size. The second attempt was accepted without any issues. Now I always check the specific requirements for each country instead of assuming they're all the same.
