If you and your friends have been trying to jump into 3v3 Co-Op matches in MLB The Show 26 only to get stuck staring at loading loops or hitting constant disconnection errors, you are definitely not alone. Server instability, matchmaking timeouts, and the notorious "No Opponent Found" glitch have been heavily disrupting both 2v2 and 3v3 online lobbies this year.
While we wait for official server-side stability patches, the community has figured out a handful of reliable workarounds. If your squad is struggling to get into a game, run through these step-by-step fixes to bypass the errors and get back on the diamond.
Step-by-Step Fixes for 3v3 Online Matches1. Perform a Full Hard Reset
  • Close the App: Do not just back out to your dashboard. Both you and everyone in your squad need to completely force close the game application. Features like Xbox Quick Resume are notorious for keeping dead server connections active, which will break matchmaking instantly.
  • Power Cycle: Turn off your console completely, unplug the power cable from the back for about 30 seconds, and plug it back in. This completely clears out temporary cache files that might be messing with your active session.

2. Manually Trigger Game Updates
  • Check Version: Co-Op matchmaking will fail immediately without a clear error message if even one person in your lobby is running an outdated version of the game.
  • Force Update: Go to your console's home screen, press the options or menu button on the MLB The Show 26 icon, and select "Check for Update". Make sure everyone in your group has installed the latest hotfixes, including recent ones like Game Update 2 or Game Update 4.

  • PSN Online Status: If you are playing on PlayStation, ensure your profile state is set to "Appear Online". Setting your status to invisible or hidden frequently blocks vital Diamond Dynasty lobby updates and prevents invites from processing correctly.
